After Microsoft announced this week to acquire Activision Blizzard for $68.7 billion, the outside world is very concerned about the follow-up direction of many of the company's well-known games, especially whether the "Call of Duty" series will become exclusive to the Xbox platform. Microsoft Games CEO Phil Spencer was interviewed yesterday.  Shi said that it will continue to keep the series running across platforms.

"I recently held talks with Sony executives and confirmed to them that after the merger is established, all previous contracts signed by Activision Blizzard and Sony will continue to be maintained." Spencer said that Sony is one of the most important companies in the game industry.  , Microsoft takes its relationship with Sony very seriously, and assures each other that Playstation players can continue to enjoy the Call of Duty series.

The outside world's concern about "Call of Duty" becoming an Xbox exclusive comes from its own origin. After all, Spencer has previously acquired other companies and turned the other's well-known works into exclusive precedents, such as buying the "Elder Scrolls" and "Fallout" series.  After the famous Bethesda Softwork, the upcoming new title "Starfield" (Starfield) will become an Xbox and PC exclusive work.

In addition, Spencer has previously stated that the upcoming "The Elder Scrolls VI" will be handled accordingly. These decisions are understandable in the game industry. After all, the increase in the number of exclusive games can directly increase the number of Microsoft Game Pass subscribers.

Therefore, after Spence made a guarantee to Sony, Playstation players should not have to worry about not being able to play the "Call of Duty" series in the future, and can become one of the classic cross-platform games like "Minecraft".
